IC2177 Seagull Nebula  TriColor & BiColor

IC2177 the Seagull Nebula is in the constellation Monoceros, and is approximately 3600 light years away. This also includes  NGC 2327 a compact, dusty emission region with an embedded star that forms the bird’s head also known as the Parrot Nebula.

This is produced with the Ha and OIII Data. The Ha is assigned to the Red channel the OIII is assigned to the Green channel , the Ha and OIII are combined to form a synthetic channel mapped to Blue. A layer of RGB stars has been added.
